Following the journey of a female soldier after she is wounded, The Falling And The Rising is a soldier's operatic odyssey that captures the indomitable spirit of our U.S. military. Originally created from interviews with active-duty soldiers and veterans, the opera shines a light on their inspirational and often untold stories of family, service and sacrifice inside a period of great uncertainty.

Petite Opera Productions Chicago area premiere production of The Falling And The Rising features a chorus comprised completely of U.S. military veterans.

Music by Zach Redler. Libretto by Chicago's own Jerre Dye. Conceived by Sgt Ben Hilgert of the US Army.

General Admission. 75 minute one-act production. Proceed to Box Office to pick up your tickets. Box Office opens one hour before each performance. Auditorium doors open 30 minutes prior to start time for seating selection.

The audience is invited to attend a talk-back session after each performance where the audience can post questions to members of the cast, production staff, and/or show creators about the show and its creation. Note: Tickets available for online purchase up until 4 hours prior to curtain time. After that point, proceed to the Box Office, which opens one hour prior to performance time.
